Double bathroom reno, Mount Eliza
A unique request. Can we convert a bedroom into a bathroom and the bathroom into a WIR and ensuite? The bathroom was poorly made with aboveground plumbing, dated with cedar panelling and a low ceiling. Working closely with the customer, we agreed on a new design to maximise space and meet their budget requirements to a high standard. The existing bathroom was demolished and original rafters exposed to begin the redesign. In the master bedroom, we moved an existing wall to create the space required for the new design. The pitched roof made cuts challenging, cutting and reinforcing the concrete slab to install the new plumbing, was an additional challenge but with our years of experience we completed these tasks to high standards. The customer wanted continuous flow hot water, which would be costly to install and maintain but they had existing solar panels so we proposed a solution to utilise these providing significant savings for the customer. The bath would be positioned in front of a floor to roof sized window, therefore required a new infill external wall to be built. The wall was built to compliment the house and a new window fitted above the bath keeping light and views from the new bathroom. We built large wardrobes fitted with timber and glass drawers, hangers, shelves and doors to complete a new fully functional wardrobe. A really rewarding project to see complete with very satisfied customers.

An extension in Boronia, VIC
This was a significant project including an additional loungeroom extension, veranda and deck. The job required rendered external walls, soundproof plaster and insulation throughout the floor, roof and walls. It also included double glazed windows and door, and composite decking. The reactive hard clays made excavation challenging and there was an existing thick concrete slab that was required to be cut and removed. We spoke with the local equipment hire to use the best suited equipment to excavate the site and cut the concrete into manageable portions for successfully lifting and removing it safely with the excavator. Site access was difficult and not all trucks would go down drive, complicating deliveries. In these circumstances, we prepared our vehicles with trailer to safely transfer the delivery to work location. The existing render was in poor condition, so we re-rendered the front with the new to improve and blend the render throughout. We also replaced the front facing roof sheets to blend the roof from the original house to the extension, going the extra mile for a professional finish. Another successful project, completed to customer satisfaction.

Not just another carport, Boronia
A beautiful old Victorian-themed carport with a gable end, rendered and detailed exposed timber, was struck by a large tree causing significant damage. After completing the original makesafe for the site, the customer only wanted to work with Constructavision for the rebuild. We took great pride in this elaborate carport project which included old school windows, with clad and weatherboard, and cement sheeting running down one side of the carport. There was timber lining boards on the ceiling including downlights. Overall, we were required to rebuild the carport and we made further improvements by using higher quality, stronger timber to see a longer life for this structure.
